My creative space ...

is shared with Maia this morning.

Inspired by seeing Claire's mandalas, over here, we did a couple ourselves.  One in crayon and one in pastels.

The circular shapes reminded me of the compass drawings I used to spend hours in as a child so we found the compass and I made some.  Maia was amazed.  These called for water colours.

The finished articles - Maia's on the left, mine on the right.

The artist with her work!

Hope that you are all having a lovely creative week.  To see what others at getting up to pop over to Kirsty's.

I remember spending lots of time doing this when I was little, so much fun. I'll have to store this in the memory banks to try out in a couple of years.

Mandalas are so fun! They were one of the first things I did on my art course. I find the repetition painting quite calming.

Very cute and colourful - you could laminate those and make them into placemats!
